Budget cutbacks mean fewer class options at a time when more students are trying to attend Butte College. Classes began Monday, and in the past many students were able to add classes the first week of school. But this time those who waited, or need to make schedule changes, are finding fewer options. "Since the economy has gone down, enrollment has gone up and up," said Clinton Slaughter, director of admissions.
