Julian Schreibman is hoping to open up a new front in his congressional campaign: college aid. The Democratic attorney from Kingston recently completed a tour of the four major public colleges in the district and used the occasion to attack incumbent Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, for voting for a Republican budget plan that would have rolled back funding for Pell Grants. "Investing in education is investing in jobs," Schreibman told the Times Union on Monday. "To me, when you look at growing this region and building upon the things that are already great and going on here, our SUNY campuses are wonderful. ...
