Funding cut hits private schools - Richard Bruinsma, Sunshine Coast Daily

Independent schools on the Coast will do their best to avoid extra pressure on family budgets when they increase tuition fees in the wake of significant cuts in State Government funding. Suncoast Christian College principal Mark Ash revealed his school would receive 11.5% less recurrent funding for next year, compared with cuts to Nambour Christian College of 9%, Immanuel Lutheran College 8.5%, and Suncoast Grammar 7.1%. "Most schools were expecting a tightening this year given the cuts to the public service," Mr Ash said. http://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au/news/funding-cut-hits-private-schools/1592626/
