Jackson Community College trustees to consider budget revisions needed due to enrollment declines - Leanne Smith, MLive

Declining enrollment at Jackson Community College has resulted in budget adjustments that are expected to be considered by the college’s Board of Trustees on Monday. Jackson Community College trustees are expected to discuss budget revisions on Monday that are needed due to enrollment declines. JCC’s enrollment snapshot, which came out after the first 10 days of classes this fall, showed an 11 percent decline in enrollment from 2011. College officials had budgeted for flat enrollment. At the board’s September meeting, JCC President Dan Phelan said college leaders were working on budget revisions that will not only address this decline but anticipate similar declines for the winter and spring/summer semesters. http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/index.ssf/2012/10/jackson_community_college_trus_9.html
