With enrollment down, Anne Arundel Community College faces budget shortfall - Tim Pratt, The Capital Gazette

Anne Arundel Community College faces a nearly $650,000 budget shortfall if enrollment doesn’t pick up soon. The news was presented to the college’s board of trustees Tuesday night. Some college officials believe the economy helped shrink enrollment this fall. Now, “we either have to reduce expenses or hope our enrollment goes up in the winter and spring,” said trustee Walter Hall, who heads the college’s budget committee. Enrollment in credited courses this fall is 17,650, compared to 17,957 last year. http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/schools/with-enrollment-down-anne-arundel-community-college-faces-budget-shortfall/article_072fe821-322e-520e-a1b0-6f4a6de656e7.html
