U Wyoming Officials: Budget cuts to higher ed will be painful - Trevor Brown, Wyoming News

State higher-education leaders said proposed budget cuts will be painful, despite Gov. Matt Mead’s recommendation to limit the reductions. University of Wyoming and community college officials presented their budget plans Tuesday to the Wyoming Legislature’s Joint Appropriations Committee. Mead’s budget proposal asks for a $11.4 million cut from UW and a $7.9 million cut from the Wyoming Community College Commission.
