Middleton talks enrollment, retention, and win-win partnership - Meredith Dobes, Roosevelt Torch

President Charles Middleton gave his 2013 State of the University Address last month before faculty and staff. It’s focus: ongoing strategic planning, university challenges and the action needed for future success. Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the university’s bond rating from Baa2 to Baa3 this year. The outlook reflects an expectation that the university’s recently implemented changes in recruiting and marketing will help break-even operating results and that recent improvements to financial management and budgetary controls will improve cash flow sufficient to cover debt service, according to Moody’s. Middleton projected that the university’s financial viability will improve if enrollment challenges are fixed. http://www.roosevelttorch.com/sections/news/middleton-talks-enrollment-retention-and-win-win-partnership-1.2809446#.URpFPx3aI44
