Wittenberg board OKs $4.5M in cuts - Tom Stafford, Springfield News Sun

Wittenberg University President Laurie Joyner says the university needs to cut costs and grow revenues to overcome a projected $7 million budget shortfall. Wittenberg University’s Board of Directors this weekend approved a plan to cut $4.5 million from the budget in the next four years. The spending cuts were worked out over a difficult 10 months in which Wittenberg President Laurie M. Joyner arrived on campus and sounded the alarm about a $7 million budget problem, which some sensed was looming but caught others flat-footed.
