College of Central Florida can no longer rely on reserve funding to balance its budget, so it has eliminated 28 positions for the 2013-14 year. Though 17 of those positions are currently vacant, 11 full-time employees will lose their jobs, President Jim Henningsen said. Based on CF's projections, the college is facing a $2.4 million shortfall due to falling enrollment. CF's 2012-13 budget was $39.4 million, its largest ever. The 2013-14 budget is expected to be $37 million, the same as in 2009-10.
