Faltering enrollment means a tuition hike at Mercer County Community College - Bridget Clerkin, The Times of Trenton
Eying a dropping attendance rate and a growing revenue gap, Mercer County Community College will charge up to an additional $180 per year per student in order to help balance the school’s budget this year. The changes, due to start with the 2014 summer session, are meant to maintain the college’s roughly $60 million budget, according to Mercer County Community College President Patricia Donohue, who brought up the fiscal concerns at a college board of trustees meeting Thursday night.
