Central Washington University facing multimillion dollar shortfall - Natalie Eucce, KIMA TV

A $6 million budget shortfall looms large for Central Washington University. Administrators need to find a way to close the gap for the next academic year.Colby Elshoff made the choice four years ago to get his degree from Central Washington University. "I chose Central just for a good in-state school option," Elshoff said. Some options students have here could be in jeopardy. CWU is staring at a budget shortfall of $6 million next school year. It could approach $10 million the year after that - problems administrators expect without more money coming from the state. "We're really trying to look creatively and in an innovative way at how we get to this different budget number," CWU Chief of Staff Linda Schactler said. The university plans to dip into its reserves to get about $4 million from the rainy day fund. Administrators need to figure out the rest. http://www.kimatv.com/home/video/Central-Washington-University-facing-multi-million-dollar-shortfall-256097051.html
