Taxpayers, students pay more as college budget shrinks - Adam Curtis, Sierra Vista Herald

Once again, Cochise College will see less money from the state and rely on both students and taxpayers to help support more of its operations. At a budget work session last week, Cochise College President J.D. Rottweiler presented the governing board with a budget draft that projects its general fund, which pays for most salaries and operating expenses, at about $39.73 million, a reduction of more than $807,000. Yet, even as the budget shrinks, it assumes the college will continue the recent trend of asking for more from students and local property tax payers. http://www.svherald.com/content/adam-curtis/2014/04/13/372879
