The Board of Regents of Northern New Mexico College has approved a $32 million budget that comes at the expense of several jobs, programs and a campus day care center. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://bit.ly/1nTmEVp) that the vote by regents Saturday in Espanola drew immediate criticism. Officials say the elimination of three educational programs and several faculty and staff positions will save $500,000 for an already financially-strapped school.
