Cash-strapped South Carolina State University is getting a $6 million loan as part of a bid to spare the university from running out of cash. The school announced Wednesday that the South Carolina Budget and Control Board approved a $6 million loan to help the university cover the cost of its outstanding debt. This comes after SC State asked the state to invest $13.6 million to help ensure its financial stability.
