The college says five full-time administrative and service positions have been cut. The reductions will save about $450,000 in salaries and benefits next year. In addition, seven positions have been scaled back to 80 percent of full time, and another has been converted to half time. Johnson State College President Barbara Murphy says the cuts are "painful and difficult." She says an enrollment dip, flat financial support from state are to blame.
