A University of Nebraska-Lincoln advisory panel that rejected $4.65 million in proposed budget cuts last week has reconsidered after a long talk with Chancellor Harvey Perlman. The Academic Planning Committee voted Wednesday to support the budget cuts, which include cutting the university raise pool. But the vote came with a caveat: that Perlman consider a piece of the committee’s advice in doling out the cuts. APC chairman Stephen Lahey declined to say what the advice was, saying it’ll be up to Perlman to share it if he wants to.
