Officials at East Carolina University expressed concerns about proposed state budgets and legislation that would result in a loss of about $16 million to the institution, affecting the Brody School of Medicine and the way it collects debts and federal health care dollars. ECU Board of Trustees members and administrators during its conference call Monday afternoon also were anticipating how the state House’s budget would shape up.
