Blue Ribbon committee develops plan for SCSU - By DALE LINDER-ALTMAN, Times and Democrat

The Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee formed to help South Carolina State University has come up with proposals that may soon be presented to the institution’s board of trustees for approval. The committee met on Monday and came up with “work in draft form” that’s related to budget appropriations for the fiscal year that began July 1, Dr. Dennis Nielsen said. Nielsen is one of four S.C. State trustees, who along with five current and former presidents, are members of the committee. The committee was created by state lawmakers to help stabilize the university’s financial situation.
