Jeff Cummings, interim superintendent and president of Copper Mountain College, is settling in to his office on the campus in Joshua Tree. Jeff Cummings knew in January that there was scarce money in the College of the Redwoods’ 2014-15 budget to renew his contract as executive dean of academic affairs for the coming year. He declined to renew his contract, taking a bit of the bite out of the school’s $2 million budget shortfall.
