UVa Facing Millions in Budget Cuts - Charlottesville Newsplex

The University of Virginia was told by the state that they will have to cut their budget. For fiscal year 2015, they must plan for a 5% cut, which is about $6.5 million from their budget. However, there are even more cuts for fiscal year 2016 of about 7% or a little over $9 million.
