VSU students rally against budget cuts - Susan Bahorich, NBC12

Hundreds showed up on Tuesday to peacefully protest the direction Virginia State University is heading. A school spokesman says the Historically Black College is currently facing a nearly $19 million budget shortfall. VSU is rich in history dating back to 1882, but school spirit is running a little a low these days. Sophomore JaCari Diggs said, "Just the morale of the students, a lot of school loyalty is not there like it used to be." Many students say it's because of slashing cuts. http://www.nbc12.com/story/26668549/vsu-students-rally-against-budget-cuts
