Hocking plans enrollment push to help address budget crunch - Conor Morris, Athens News

Amid a budgetary crisis that is largely a result of decreased enrollment over the past few years, the Hocking College Board of Trustees heard an update Oct. 27 on the marketing and enrollment campaign for the college's upcoming spring semester. Laura Alloway, the college's director of marketing and public relations, cited two major goals for Hocking College for its upcoming spring semester. One goal was to enroll 694 new students. The other was to retain about 80 percent of currently enrolled students, or 2,780, for a total of 3,475 spring semester students. That would equal the 15th-day enrollment number for the college's autumn semester. That's about 600 fewer students enrolled than in the college's spring semester of 2014, which showed about 4,100 students enrolled. http://www.athensnews.com/ohio/article-43616-hocking-plans-enrollment-push-to-help-address-budget-crunch.html
