College cost for N.C. residents likely to increase - Miranda Roberts, Star-News

The cost for North Carolina residents to continue their education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will likely increase in both 2015-16 and 2016-17. UNCW tuition for undergraduate students since fiscal year 2010-11, as well as proposed tuition increases. The UNCW Board of Trustees held a workshop Thursday detailing proposed tuition and fee increases for the upcoming years and is expected to take action on the issue during Friday's regular meeting. As proposed, the combined cost of tuition and mandatory fees for an undergraduate in-state student would be $6,660 in 2015-16 – a 4.21 percent increase.
