How to Make College Tuition Cheap - Fred Ward Letter to WSJ

The problem is not the debt run up to pay outrageous tuition, it’s the outrageous tuition. Jason Delisle ’s Dec. 31 op-ed “The Hidden Student-Debt-Bomb” was interesting, but totally misses the point. The problem is not the debt run up to pay outrageous tuition, it’s the outrageous tuition. Why do people continue to harp on the student debt when with proper tuition rates there would be little student debt, and even less need for forgiveness. It’s about time Republicans (and Democratic parents) made the colleges live like the rest of us by selling a good product at a fair price. Imagine what peace would come to our campuses and cities if the professors spent their time teaching, instead of agitating? http://www.wsj.com/articles/how-to-make-college-tuition-cheap-letters-to-the-editor-1420408944
