UWGB chancellor: Proposed UW budget cuts 'disturbing' - Patti Zarling, Press-Gazette

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to cut $300 million from the University of Wisconsin System budget over the next two years is "disturbing" and "unprecedented," University of WIsconsin-Green Bay chancellor Gary Miller said Tuesday. "Coming at the end of six years of reducing by the state, it's disturbing," he said. "Over 40 states have started to reinvest in higher education at a time when post-secondary education is vital in the high-tech, global economy. It's difficult."
