College anticipated funding cut - Gale Rose, Pratt Tribune

When Pratt Community College received notification that the Kansas Legislature had passed a rescission bill that would cut funding out of this year’s budget, they got an unexpected surprise. Although the rescission would cost PCC $51,600, it was less than the college had planned on. The college had anticipated the possibility of a rescission and, as a precaution, reduced the 2014-2015 budget five percent. When the rescission came, it was not as big as expected and worked out to only two percent. In their budget cut, the college left positions open and delayed filling others. http://www.pratttribune.com/article/20150224/NEWS/150229705/-1/sports
