UMontana spring enrollment drops 4.7 percent; Missoula College down 11 percent - Keila Szpaller, Missoulian

Enrollment dropped 4.7 percent at the University of Montana compared to the headcount last spring, according to figures released Tuesday. And it declined 10.9 percent at Missoula College, according to UM officials. The drops were expected, putting the number of students at 12,922 on the main campus and 1,859 at the college, UM said. "We are where we projected we would be, given our fall enrollment numbers," UM President Royce Engstrom said in a statement. "Our enrollment picture remains challenging as several smaller classes continue to move through the system, but we see encouraging signs for the future." http://missoulian.com/news/local/um-spring-enrollment-drops-percent-missoula-college-down-percent/article_9fd5a52d-4916-5ffe-b901-d1d349037c16.html
