Senate committee clarifies KU still target of $9M budget cut - Tim Carpenter, Capital-Journal

A Senate committee returned Monday to the higher education budget to reinstate a $9 million cut to The University of Kansas that was mistakenly deleted and to slash millions of dollars in proposed new state aid for college scholarships. The vote clarifying KU was still in line for back-to-back $4.6 million reductions in 2016 and 2017 left unchanged a $6 million budget hit contained in the bill for Kansas State University. The public university reductions were originally sought by Sen. Tom Arpke, R-Salina. http://cjonline.com/news/state/2015-03-23/senate-committee-clarifies-ku-still-target-9m-budget-cut
