A budget deal lawmakers have approved means about a $15 million cut for the University of Illinois. University spokesman Tom Hardy tells The (Champaign) News-Gazette the university is owed about $297 million from the state and expects a reduction by roughly $15 million. He says it's a large cut, but students shouldn't be affected. He adds no furloughs or layoffs are expected for faculty and staff. http://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20150327/NEWS13/150329825/state-budget-deal-means-15-million-cut-to-university-of-illinois
