University Ridge golf course to weather Scott Walker budget cuts? - Cap Times

Should UW-Madison consider selling the top-ranked University Ridge Golf Course to help fill revenue gaps under Gov. Scott Walker’s budget? The idea has come up, and at pretty high levels. State Rep. Dale Kooyenga, R-Brookfield, vice-chairman of the Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee, brought it up with UW-Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank during a lunch on Feb. 2, the day before Walker released his 2015-2017 budget plan calling for a $300 million cut in funding to the UW System. Blank reported on the exchange the following day to Darrell Bazzell, UW-Madison vice chancellor of finance and administration, in an email obtained by the Capital Times through an open records request. http://host.madison.com/news/local/writers/pat_schneider/should-uw-madison-sell-university-ridge-golf-course-to-weather/article_347ca63e-086a-5e05-9833-eee8a82d00d9.html
