ECSU to cut budget by $2.8 million; enrollment falls - Jeff Hampton, The Virginian-Pilot

Elizabeth City State University must reduce staff to cut its 2015-16 budget by $2.8 million. Enrollment at the 124-year-old historically black college dropped to 1,867 in the fall, nearly half what it was five years ago. The school has cut $5 million from its annual budget over the last three years.
