Already-lean UWM unfairly hit in budget cuts - MIKE SPORTIELLO, UW-Milwaukee

The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents announced their proposed allocation of the proposed $250 million budget cut to the University of Wisconsin System on July 6. Although everyone is hurting right now, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is among those most affected by the cuts. Interestingly, this didn’t come as a surprise to anyone at our institution. The $250 million cut was allocated just like the cuts were in the past.
