Human service and education programs already feeling budget cuts - WEEK

While human service programs remain in limbo, education funding is also feeling the impact. A spokesperson for Illinois State University says they are preparing for a substantial cut in state aid, but adds, despite that, programs and services will be the same. "We have low debt at this university," said ISU Spokesman Jay Groves. "We have frugal spending at the university. We have a very robust enrollment, last year was a 25-year high for us. We expect a similar type of freshman and student enrollment this fall." Groves says ISU will rely on tuition revenue but will reduce jobs through attrition and reduced travel and equipment purchases. http://www.cinewsnow.com/news/local/Human-service-and-education-programs-are-already-feeling-state-budget-cuts-311923071.html
