According to numbers from the college the school has increased tuition over the last ten years by $70 per credit hour. The 2016 budgets in Illinois started July 1st, but so far only the K through 12 and early education budget has been approved. John Wood Community College officials say they are closely monitoring the situation. John Wood approved a tentative budget earlier this year which includes over $556,000 less funding from the State of Illinois. John Wood Dean of Business Services Josh Welker says since 2007, the school has seen a decrease in state funding of about 50 percent. http://www.wgem.com/story/29438635/2015/06/30/john-wood-community-college-looks-to-budget-talks-at-illinois-capitol
