State System universities' enrollment to drop in 2015-16; system's budget gap widens - TIM STUHLDREHER, Lancaster Online

Millersville University is expecting higher enrollment in 2015-16. The State System of Higher Education as a whole is not, however — and that means further widening of what was already a worrisome budget gap. Millersville's enrollment is projected to increase by 137 "full-time equivalent" or FTE students, a gain of 1.9 percent, according to a presentation made Tuesday to the State System's board of governors. Overall, enrollment in the State System's 14 institutions is expected to drop by 1,697 FTE students, or 1.7 percent, to 100,722. The lower enrollment means less tuition revenue, increasing the system's expected budget gap. http://lancasteronline.com/state-system-universities-enrollment-to-drop-in---system/article_84fe4cec-2019-11e5-8b62-5b7084fec74d.html
