MAP funding cut to balance state budget - WEEK

For many college students, returning to school is exciting. But this year, for hundreds of students who get Monetary Assistance Program money, it's a little stressful. More than $8 million in MAP funding was cut to try and balance the state budget, affecting 3,000 students statewide. Some Illinois Wesleyan University students could be affected. More than 400 students at the school are promised MAP grants each year. http://www.cinewsnow.com/news/local/MAP-funding-cut-to-balance-state-budget-320701651.html
