U Arizona layoffs underway as school cuts $25 million - Kelly Presnell, Arizona Daily Star

The trickle-down effect of state budget cuts is about to hit home at the University of Arizona, where layoffs are underway as part of a bid to trim more than $25 million from the Tucson school’s overhead. The academic side of the university will sustain about $15 million in total cuts, UA data show.
