MSUB faces decrease in enrollment, budget stable - Aja Goare, MTN News
A Billings university that confronted a multi-million dollar budget deficit last year hoped an increase in 2015 fall enrollment would help close the gap. Montana State University Billings actually saw a significant decrease in enrollment this semester, but school officials say the budget is "stable." That’s because the school is not relying solely on increased enrollment to close a $4.4 million deficit. Cuts to staff and the tennis team, along with class adjustments, are all reasons why school officials say there's no reason to worry, at least for the next year.
