Montgomery County Community College may seek loan to cover costs - Holly Herman, Reading Eagle

Montgomery County Community College officials are considering seeking a loan to cover costs resulting from the state budget impasse. The college - which has nearly 20,000 students, including 4,586 in its West Campus in Pottstown - has not received its first-quarter allotment of $7.8 million from the state, said Dr. James Linksz, interim college president. The college's $80 million annual budget includes $31 million in state funds. The Republican-led Legislature and Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf are showing no signs of ending the stalemate. Linksz said the college has been able to get by so far, using funds from its reserve account. http://www.readingeagle.com/news/article/montgomery-county-community-college-may-seek-loan-to-cover-costs
