Utah's student debt is lowest in the country - Becky Wright, Standard Examiner

Utah college students have less debt than their peers, according to the Project on Student Debt. The average student debt in Utah is $18,921, the lowest in the country and about $10,000 below the national average of $28,950. Melanie Heath, spokeswoman for the Utah System of Higher Education, said the key to Utah's lower debt is the lower cost of an education. “Utah has the third lowest tuition for public 4-year institutions in the nation,” she said. http://www.standard.net/Education/2015/10/29/Utah-s-student-debt-is-lowest-in-the-country
