Oklahoma economy linked to college funding, higher education proponents - say Kathryn McNutt, the Oklahoman

The 2015 Employment Outcomes Report shows 85 percent of Oklahoma residents who graduate with a bachelor's degree are employed in the state one year after graduation. "Over the past decade we have made a concerted effort to link academic programs to the needs of businesses in Oklahoma," Johnson said. Continued funding for the state's 25 public colleges and universities is critical to meeting those workforce needs, he said. “We have a very compelling case to take to the Legislature," said Toney Stricklin, of Lawton, chairman of the state regents. http://newsok.com/article/5465014
