Morehead State U president talks $3-million budget shortfall - Andrew Adkins, the Independent

The 11th-year president said the university is $3 million short on its budget entering 2016. He cited a decline in enrollment and student retention as reasons for the shortfall. MSU broke its own freshmen enrollment record each year from 2011 to 2013, averaging 2,113 per school year. But that pace stagnated in 2014 and the number of enrolled freshmen at MSU dipped back under 2,000 last August. The university also reported a sharp decline in the number of seniors who notched undergraduate degrees from 73.8 percent to 53.1 percent. http://www.dailyindependent.com/news/msu-president-talks--million-budget-shortfall-retirement-rumors/article_47a8200c-ba42-11e5-90f0-f70524c28ca3.html
