NCCC faculty and leadership remain at odds over budget, enrollment drop - Chris Knight ,

The tension at North Country Community College comes as the school faces a sharp drop off in enrollment and braces for the possibility of deep budget cuts. Some elected officials in North Country's two sponsoring counties, Essex and Franklin, said they're concerned about the future of the college. In October, the union that represents North Country Community College faculty approved a vote of no confidence in President Steve Tyrell and board Chairwoman Barbara Dwyer. In response, the board reaffirmed its support for both leaders, and Dwyer suggested the board meet with the union to discuss its concerns. But that sit-down has yet to happen, and the faculty union has continued to keep up the pressure. http://www.northcountrypublicradio.org/news/story/30693/20160115/nccc-faculty-and-leadership-remain-at-odds-over-budget-enrollment-drop
