Southeastern Illinois College battling budget impasse - Brandon Merano, WSIL

Illinois' budget impasse is now midway through it's seventh month, and colleges around the area are feeling the impact. According to Southeastern Illinois College President, Jonah Rice, the school could lose crucial funding for academics and life-saving workforce education programs. Students are also feeling the effects of not having a state budget. Just having enough money for food and rent is a hard task for college students like Daquane Wilford, and with Illinois still not having a budget, Wilford has lost benefits like the state funded MAP grant. http://www.wsiltv.com/story/30949889/southeastern-illinois-college-battling-budget-impasse
