College student leaders rally at NIU for a state budget - Joseph Edwards, WREX

Student leaders gathered in DeKalb County Thursday to call on the State of Illinois to pass a budget. Kishwaukee College and Northern Illinois University held the rally this morning. One major point echoed across the rally was that the lack of state funding is tearing at the fabric of the communities. One student leader, NIU Student Association Senate Speaker Dillon Domke, says there are serious social and economic consequences if the state does not pass a budget soon. http://www.wrex.com/story/31201077/2016/02/11/college-student-leaders-rally-at-niu-for-a-state-budget
