ND agencies turn in budget cuts to cover shortfall - Mike Nowatzki, Forum News

North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota sustained cuts of $6.4 million and $9.5 million, respectively. The university system's cuts included more than $1 million from Student Financial Assistance Grants. Chief Financial Officer Tammy Dolan said that won't affect awards to students in the current biennium because, based on current use of the grant program, the system anticipates unspent dollars when the two-year budget cycle ends June 30, 2017. Those dollars would normally be carried forward to the next biennium for the same purpose, and the cuts will only reduce that carryover, she said. http://www.inforum.com/news/3950443-nd-agencies-turn-budget-cuts-cover-shortfall
