Recent efforts to save the Monetary Award Program (MAP) failed in the state senate, meaning the future of students’ education remains endangered. “(Governor Rauner) told me to my face that day that he would veto (the bill),” Sen. Pat McGuire said, referring to Aug. 19, 2015 when Senate Bill 2043 was passed.
