Low enrollment means budget cuts for SUNY Plattsburgh - WPTZ

SUNY Plattsburgh's vice president of business affairs John Homburger has had to make some tough decisions. One of them is figuring out how to balance out the university's budget, which will be cut by $550,000 in July. It's mostly due to a declining student population, but adding to the pressure are pay raises for some staff members. "We've had to end up paying for salary increases that were negotiated by the governor but we didn't receive any funds for it," Homburger said. But the biggest problem is declining student enrollment. http://www.wptz.com/news/low-enrollment-means-budget-cuts-for-suny-plattsburgh/38428346
