Lewis and Clark Community College to consider selling $8 million in bonds - Kelsey Landis, Alston Evening Telegraph

The sale of $8 million in bonds to make up for a lack in state funding will be subject to a public hearing at Lewis and Clark Community College’s board meeting Tuesday night. If approved by the board, the bonds will be used to pay for day-to-day expenses — including payroll — until other revenue comes in from tuition or taxes. The hearing comes amid a nine-month-old budget impasse in Illinois during which public higher education institutions have gone without funding from the state. https://thetelegraph.com/news/80808/lewis-and-clark-community-college-to-consider-selling-8-million-in-bonds-sale-subject-of-public-hearing-tuesday
