UConn Trustees Approve Plan To Hike Tuition By 31 Percent Over Four Years - Kathleen Megan, Hartford Courant

UConn's board of trustees approved a plan Wednesday that will boost tuition by 31 percent over the next four years, with annual hikes that average about 7 percent. The tuition increases will start next fall when in-state students will pay $700 more than they do this year — a 6.7 percent jump. In the fall of 2019, tuition will hit $13,700, compared with the current figure of $10,524. Tuition for nonresidents will rise more slowly, with average increases of slightly more than 3 percent annually during the next four years. Out-of-state students will pay $950 more next year or $33,016 in tuition. By the fall of 2019, tuition for out-of-state students will reach $36,466 — 13.7 percent higher than this year. http://www.courant.com/education/hc-uconn-trustees-tuition-1215-20151216-story.html
